Vanguard Technologies signs MoU with Conformiq Software to use its products as part of Vanguard Model-Based Testing Services.

Vanguard Technologies Ltd, Dublin, Ireland.  19-December-2005.   Vanguard Technologies today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Conformiq to use its Test Generator product as one of the major platforms for Vanguard Technologies Model Based Testing Services.

“Conformiq Test Generator ® product is considered the leading Model-Based test generation tool in the market place today.  Using Conformiq products as a foundation of our services Vanguard Technologies will be able to offer our clients significant cost savings over the traditional methods of test automation and manual design of test scripts ” said Suleiman Shehu, CEO Vanguard Technologies.

Traditional approaches to software testing suffer from a lack of clear, complete and unambiguous requirements coupled with problems of creating and maintaining test scripts and a lack functional test coverage. Products like Test Generator ® enable a test model to be created which will then be used to automatically generate all the required test cases for the functional test coverage selected. There is no need to create or maintain test scripts and changes in user requirements can easily be reflected in changes to the test model.

Vanguard will be using other products such as XMF/Mosaic ® and TTworkbench ® together with Vanguard Model Based Testing methodology (VMBTM) to provide model based testing services using software design models to automatically generate test models which is then used to automatically generate and executed the required test cases.
